All caught up!

Almost caught up on my missed days of Cait’s Blog challenge! Here are days 14, 15 and 16. Enjoy!

Day 14 - A picture of someone you could never imagine your life without

{warning: very sappy stuff ahead}

bradandjenny4

Every since I met this handsome guy my life has been completely different! I LOVE thinking about the day we met because it was such an unexpected breath of fresh air. We met through friends of friends at a totally random last minute pool day (that both of us almost didn’t go to!) He walked straight over to me, introduced himself, and we immediately clicked like we had known each other forever! We hung out, talked and had so much fun all day together. I remember it was so easy and natural and within hours I think we both knew something very special was about to begin. He took me out on our first date a few nights later where we talked for hours and have been inseparable ever since! Some things that I love about him are that he makes me laugh CONSTANTLY.. we are super goofy together and have jokes that only we would find funny, he has such a passion for cooking (major points from the get-go) and owning his family’s restaurant one day and he LOVES his family so much (seeing him with his nieces and nephews are priceless moments for me!) I could go on and on so I will just stop there… I really could not imagine my life without him today!

Day 15 - A picture of something you want to do before you die

n1529730507_30675483_1102

Skydiving was my big one thing to do before I die, and although I have already checked that one off... I still don’t consider myself off the hook because instead of landing here…

I want to be landing here…

So before I die, I will skydive in the most gorgeous place on Earth instead of a pig sty!

Okay, so it wasn’t really a pig sty but it was a big bland open field and I think there were some pigs off in the corner…

Day 16 - A picture of someone who inspires you

{Beth Moore}

I look up to a lot of wonderful, strong women but one woman who really inspires me is this woman, Beth Moore. If you don’t know her, you should definitely look into her books!! She is a woman’s speaker and author who has a passion for not only loving the Lord but also helping women love themselves and others! She is so honest and real that if you ever feel down or you are having a bad day, simply reading excerpts from her books put everything in perspective, at least for me. She cuts straight to the point about how we were created and how we should live as women and treat other women. She really inspires me to be a better woman, sister, friend and an all around helpless person. Love you, Beth!!

Stay tuned for my shopping finds woohoo!!

If you liked it then you shoulda put a ring on it….

Well, Mike liked it. so much, that he put a ring on it.

Who is Mike, you ask?

Who happens to be my SISTER, Karen!!!

I am so, so, so excited!!!

A summed up version of how it went down....

For about a month, Karen and Mike had been planning on taking a trip to visit Mike's family in Orlando. Well, little did she know, Mike had been planning something else.... When they got to the airport to go to "Orlando"… Mike surprised her by telling her that instead, they were headed to San Francisco. Needless to say, Karen was shocked, but she didn’t expect what was about to happen….

Golden Gate Bridge at Night

Mike took her to the Golden Gate bridge, said some sweet things that she can't remember and dropped down to one knee. Karen then snatched the ring and put it on her own finger!

The ROCK!

THEN Mike surprised her even more and whisked her away to the Sonoma wine country to stay at the same hotel where they shared their first romantic getaway together, 2 years ago.

WOW.

What a perfect, romantic, surprising story!!

I am so, so happy for you, Karen – that you have been blessed with a man like Mike to love, support, and care for you and who treats you like a queen!! You deserve it all!! I love you so much and cannot wait to stand by your side on your wedding day!

And to Mike, thank you so much for being everything and more that my big sister has always dreamed of. I know you will take wonderful care of her and I am so happy to be gaining another brother. Welcome to the family!

It’s not too late

Last minute shopper? No problem! here are some quick and easy ideas that say “I love you” or if you don’t want to scare him off just yet… “I like you a lot”…

1. cologne – it’s hard to go wrong here. guys will appreciate the thoughtfulness and even better… YOU get to choose how they smell. Everyone wins!
                  Armani-Acqua-Di-Gio
                                     YUM YUM AND YUM

2. cook for him! breakfast/lunch/dinner it doesn’t matter – guys love FOOD!  but if you want to impress him a little more.. throw in some candles and some wine and you have a romantic, thoughtful dinner!

3. want to impress him even more?? grab a blanket, some wine (of course!), fix lunch or dinner, and take him on an impromptu picnic! Although, depending on where you live it may be too cold for an outdoor picnic so make one right by the fireplace! So romantic!!

4.if all else fails, slap a picture of the two of you in a frame, run to Target to buy a card and call it a day

No matter how you spend Valentine’s, it’s not too late to simply appreciate the people you have in your life! Day to day, I know I tend to get so busy that I forget to stop and appreciate all the people I have in my life. As Kris Allen would say “How come we don’t say I love you, enough. Till it’s too late, it’s not too late.” – so whether you are with your spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, children, family or pets this weekend, put down your phone AND the remote and focus all your attention on loving the people you love! They are a precious gift!
Have a wonderful Valentine’s weekend!
