The old school flip flop

I am without a doubt a high heel looovvaaa but during the summer down here in Texas sometimes it is so f-ing HOT and HUMID being really comfortable trumps my 6 inch heels. Which brings me to the good ‘ole flip flop. OH, Where have you gone my friend? I have seen you try to be transformed into this:

and I just can’t do it. I’m sorry, but I just can’t. I mean, the CROC bandwagon, sucked me in before I even realized what I was doing but seriously…

I am never jumping on the gladiator sandal bandwagon.

Every cute flip flop I have seen lately has some kind of contraption, back, side strap. I want to slide my foot in, and go. Is that too much to ask??
