Happy Monday TUESDAY! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. I loooooove holidays. 4th of July is one of my favorites! nothing better than getting together with friends, and/or family, where everyone is in a great mood, dressed in red white & blue and ready to celebrate our country and freedoms!

This weekend I didn’t really have much planned and it turned into a ridiculously fun weekend!

Here’s what mine consisted of:

Poolside Saturday, Sunday & Monday. yep.

listening to a bunch of great music

a night out dancing with girlfriends

homemade fried chicken & ranch dressing

{I will never buy ranch again. My friend Ryan made it homemade with ranch packets, mayo, salt & pepper, and bacon bits. oh my word. I would have drank it if I had been alone. }

on top of that he made homemade CHIPS and guac. so freaking delicious. seriously, I was spoiled silly the homemade ranch & chips were better than any store bought! note to self: buy a deep fryer

the weekend was so busy, my other roommate was exhausted.

BAHAHAHHAAHAH.

Meet Khloe. my roomies cat. She was looking a little tired so we made her a little bed. we were DYING it was so funny because she really just laid there hahahah

she is such a good sport. I swear don’t call SPCA to report us. We dress her up, and put her in all kinds of hilarious predicaments and she just goes along with it. too funny.

Chicago was AMAZE!

the architecture, the history, the FOOD, the WEATHER. oh my word.

We were only there for a weekend but felt like we did SO much!!

Here’s the rundown!

started the trip right with a bloody mary on the plane! Yum!

went to H&M – of course!

acted like a total tourist and took pictures of taxis :)

ate at Big Al’s Italian beef.

so. freaking. good.

stopped to watch street performers!

took a boat tour through the city and learned all about its history!

fell in love with the architecture!

went to see the bean!

went up 105 stories to really SEE chicago!

acted like a total goober tourist some more

Waited 2 hours for deep dish pizza. yep.

totally worth it. although, I stuffed my face so much I never want to touch pizza again

had brunch on the most beautiful street

walked to the beach.

hung out on the pier.

rode the Ferris wheel

acted like a tourist some more!

and finally, stopped to pose with some friends…

one of my favorite parts was the fact that you can walk anywhere! anywhere we wanted to go… we walked! *thanks to our handy dandy Iphone, holy hell what in the world did we do before those things!? It was such a great feeling, I wish I lived in a city where I could walk more!

Chicago will always be one of my favorites cities. It was the first city where Brad and I flew away together. the city we spent our 2 year anniversary together. The city where we bonded, walked the streets hand in hand, laughed, and experienced new things!

We sure left our mark on Chicago!
